tramadol during suboxone detox

My family doctor prescribed me Tramadol for withdrawal pain and it worked, I feel a lot better, problem is I think it worked too good. When I asked my Dr. and the pharmacist they both assured me its not an opiate, however, according to wiki it is, now I dont know which to believe.

Does anybody have experience with Tramadol + suboxone detox?

Please Please research Tramadol as much as possible... Even Using it in mild dosage can still cause you many problems! Getting of Tramadol was the MOST difficult time in my entire life!! I wish I was more educated about the drug back when I was prescribed!! Knowing what I know now, and what Ive been through,  all I can say is REALLY do some reaserch.....

Good Luck to you... You will find TONS of support here =)

Please dont misunderstand me, my concern isnt getting addicted to a new drug for purposes of getting high, but simply to take it in very very mild dosage to help me get through the day at work.

Im coming off of suboxone after 4 year usage and my body is in hell atm :(

Oh, and it's also an anti-depressant - making the withdrawal all that much worse.  Taper off if you can, that seems to be the best way.  But no matter how you do it, get off of them - especially since you say "it worked too good" - yup, that's a really good sign you'll end up addicted.

What they probably meant is that it's a synthetic opiate - but it's still an opiate.  Keep reading here you'll find out all the horror stories about this awful drug.  Get out now while you can - getting off of that poison was the WORST experience of my life.

And good for you for checking up on it - wish I had done that!  Good luck to you!
