tramadol is evil

I have been on tramadol for a year now and I need to get off for my sanity and for my kids and well also my pain is gone for now, I dont need them!  My question is that I already know how ugly and how awful the withdrawls are and I have prepared as much as possible for the ending, but i need to know if xanax will help me feel a little bit better, with the depression and if DM, short for dextromethamorphin will help with the restless legs?  Please let me know, Thanks

Hi!  Vicki gave you very good advice.  I would steer clear of xanax....for the obvious reasons, plus it won't help.  You need to taper the tram and use the things vicki listed, and I would add immodium to that list.  They work wonders, but you will have to accept being uncomfortable for a couple of weeks.  The insomnia and fatigue were the worst for me, personally.  A good B vitamin and exercise is best for treating that.  Eating right and staying hydrated help as well.

As far as the DXM, I would only take the recommended dose, and then if it works, great, and if not....well, you didn't OD on something that won't work!

Keep posting though!  We will help you!!!

Hi~  No and no!  The Xanax may get you a bit drowsy but does nothing for withdrawals.
The DM MIGHT help but there's better: Hylands Restful Legs or tonic water. Also, vitamins, bananas, apples, apple juice, orange juice. A good cal/mag supplememt;ask the pharmacist for one.   Hot baths with Epsom salts are great!!

Are you tapering this?  It's the right way to get off of Tramadol.

Avisg and Tramahater are the Gurus on this med. They'll be on at some point and will post to you~

Stay in touch~
