Have you tried Melatonin? That works good for some people. Up to 10mg is ok to take. There is a post on amino acids in my journals. they can help a lot with the anxiety. Heed the warnings if on anti-depressants.

2 years clean , wow that is great!  I know how frustrating not sleeping well can be. I don't sleep well myself .  Have you told your doctor that these meds are not doing the trick ? Hopefully others will respond with some ideas.

Hi, welcome to the forum and Wow! congrats on 2 years clean!
Sleep aids, even over the counter, are notorious for causing people to get up and eat during the night. Ambien has been known to cause people to not even remember doing this. They had a big thing on Good Morning America about it.
I'm not familiar with Halcion, what is that?
If I may ask, how old are you? I can't tell by your picture and I don't want to suggest the possibility of menopause if your only 25 or so.  LOL
I'm not sure what kinds of meds might be used for anxiaty, but some one will be along soon that knows alot more than me. So hang in there, I'm sure help is on the way.

Hey Kimmy..and congrats on two years clean.  My dr. prescribed me ambien and ativan which have both helped me with the sleep factor and anxiety.  I do wake up in the night but am able to fall right back to sleep, this has always been the case for me.  Now ambien isn't for everyone and it shouldn't be taken for long periods of time as well as the ativan because both can be addicting.  Hope this helps.
