You absolutely can do this - in fact, you ARE doing it.  Holding on to your positive attitude is going to help you so so much you'll see.  It's what kept me going and I'm sure it will for you too.

Congrats to you for staying strong!!

The sub drs. are making a fortune off of people suffering and it really makes me furious.  $150 initial, and then $100 every 2 weeks (my friend is doing one of the longer tapers so she is looking at 6 months of paying out from what she says)

I hate Roxy's.  That is THE drug of choice around here..kids are finding out really quick how serious it is to be taking these, snorting, etc.  And lot of kids turning to suboxone out of desperation not having a clue of the ramifications of taking that for a long period of time.  ~sigh~

soconfus89,there are many people here that had to CT so if you do go that route and sounds like you don't have an alternative, you CAN do it and you will get alot of support here.  I will keep you in my prayers.  hugs, lyn.

PS> I remember several years ago when suboxone was a newer alternative here, the 1 sub dr. here charged $1,000.00 for the first visit!!  just wanting to make that money. :(

If you are looking into suboxone to get you through the wds, you can go to this site to hopefully find a doc in your area to help: www.suboxone.com There you can find a lot of info on the drug itself, and I believe there should be a place on the site to search for local doctors who can prescribe it. I have medicaid as well, and I got a list of local docs who prescribed it. Then it was just a matter of calling around to the ones on the list to see if they took my HMO. I'm not saying that this is the only way to go, but from reading your earlier posts this sounds like what you are looking for...? If you're looking for an inpatient facility, I'd say to call your insurance company and ask about substance abuse treatment. They have someone there to help with stuff like that. If you do go the suboxone route, you have to make sure you do something in addition to taking it, like therapy, meetings, etc. Let us know how you're doing, don't give up!!!

I know you said almost your whole family is addicted, but is there one family member, or perhaps a friend, who isn't addicted to something that you feel you could talk to?  You're trying to do the right thing here and I believe that if you have someone, anyone, you can turn to, they will want the best for you too.

Getting clean is so so difficult and even more so when alone.  Maybe you can try an na or aa meeting as a place to start?  They are free and maybe one of the members can guide you through this as far as where you could go in your area.  Just a thought.

You will find many people here who care.  So coming here was a very good place to start.  Please don't isolate yourself through this.  You deserve better.

I'm sorry to hear that. Know that going cold turkey is uncomfortable surely, but very doable. You gave birth to two children, trust me, the withdrawal will be easier than that.

Try and calm down. Make sure you push fluids and try some food down, even if it is only soup. Also, hot baths will help with the cramping and achy legs. Aleve or Motrin will help too.

Try to stay positive and know you are doing the right thing. In a few days the physical withdrawal will be behind you. Keep talking here, there is a lot of good support from the members.

Hi,

I am not sure anyone can help you with a treatment facility in your particular town, we are spread out here. Try doing a search on treatment centers near you and make phone calls. See if they won't take your insurance or if they take indigent cases.

That being said, know that most treatment centers do not use any medication for the physical withdrawal. Their goal is to get you healthy mentally, so you probably will endure the withdrawal no matter where you go.

Let us know how you make out.
