I have been moving along lol. Try to keep your mind busy, granted its hard to stay focused on any one thing for very long right now so have some movies books ect and music. Music played a good part in getting me moving and still listen to alot of my "detox playlist" everyday. H
I'm planning on walking tomorrow....glad to see you're still around. How have you been?
Glad you found your way back. :-) You can do this, you did it before so you know what a rough ride you are in for then it gets so much better. Get up and move as much as you can, warm weather coming tomorrow so get out and walk!
you can do it you did it before so just hang in there and keep up the good fight.wishing you the best
Just wanted to throw some support your way. Heating pad, hot showers (lots of them) those showers saved my sanity in the first 2 days of withdraw. Know day 2-3 are the worst so just hang on!!!! You can do this, so many of us have - it isn't easy but it can be done. I am day 38 hydro free and I'm so glad I stopped!
Thanks, I'v never tried the heating pad.
That's a good idea.
I'll try it tonight.
I found that a heating pad helps ALOT with the weird muscle aches/crawling/burning hard to explain feeling you get in your muscles when detoxing. I used it last night and OMG what a difference it made. Also benadryl to help sleep.
Good luck!!!!! Youve gone 2 days now!!!! You can do it. Think positive.
imodium, imodium, imodium for the obvious and benedryl for sleep!
Hello. I was also taking about the same amount of norco per day, with some
percs mixed in, but always at around 60 or sometimes 80mgs, depending on how much work i had. I went C/T and it was rough for the first 4 days. All the same symptoms you mentioned. RLS kept me awake, and I was constantly in the bathroom. You can do this. You're going to feel lousy for a few days.
Start taking calcium/magnesium/zinc (walmart, 6 bucks) 4 in morning 4 in evening. It will help with RLS and anxiety and sleep. Hydrate, no, OVER hydrate, even if you don't want to. get some mild exercise...make yourself do it. It will help a great deal. Take hot baths. A hot soak will relieve just about
all symptoms for a while. Stay focused. Distract your mind. I can promise you this: Freedom from the pills is fantastic. It's amazing. YOu will find a huge amount of support here. Take care and keep posting. ALso check out the Thomas recipe (skip the valium) and the amino acid protocol. Both were a big help to me. I still take a lot of vitamins.
thanks for the response. been using vicodin about 60-8- mg a day for the past 3 years. Quit for a month back in November...but started back up...lots of shakes, cold then hot and RLS at night
Best of luck. How are you feeling now? What have you been using? Lots of support here for you.
