Hi Brandy & Welcome,
Your advise is helpful for some I am sure. I just need to mention that the member you are directing it to posted this some year and a half ago. They have not returned.
Perhaps you could help others by coming directly into the forum. Hope to see you!
Tramadol has generally a worse withdrawal then Vicodon but not that much difference for most people. Tramadol also helps deppression even if you know it or not and therefore is best to be tapered off slowly. I want to say that usually that doesn't work and would be best to go cold turkey but check with a doctor first. How long have you been taking it and how much of each drug? I want to also give some advice if you find it too hard to quit then I would recommend rapid detox. You undergo anastesia and they get all the meds out of your body in under 24 hours and you have NO withdrawal effects but this could be pricey. Another thing is to try and take Subtox, spelling?? or other anti anxiety meds will dramatically help with withdrawal but since those are also somewhat addicting it is best to use just a week or two. Also while withdrawing excersixe get some Nyquil or sleep meds from a doctor, eat good foods, and take vitamins, esp vitamin B.... All of this will dramatically help and make the withrawal process a ton easier. Good luck!
How much are you taking of both .Tramadol has to be tapered slowly drop one pill a week .I would get off the tramadol first then tackle the hydro.
