tussinex

hey everybody, i haven't posted in a while, i hope everyone is o.k. anyway, i have a question about tussinex. they prescribed this to me for a bad head cold and sore throat. anyway, being the drug addict that i am (i wish i didn't even start this mess!!), i took WAAAY more than recommended. my question is this, does tussinex "back you up" more so than lorect or loratabs would? thanks in advance for your advice.

Tussinex varies according to RX but has a minimum dose of 2.5 mg of hydrocodone/lortab per teaspoon////polytussin has 6 mg of hydrocodone per teaspoon

so if you took 4 teaspoons that could be a substantial amount of lortab/hydrocodone   10 mg depending on the dosage in the tussinex

One side affect of hydrocodone is constipation. So if it is in tussinex, it would also be a side affect. When was on lortabs, I would eat that yogurt Activa. It is suppose to help with the bowels. It seemed to help some. Also try to eat plenty of fiber.

Tussionex is the highest concentration of hydrocodone. I  5 ml. teasponn contains the same amount of dope as 2 vicodins. All dope makes you constipated and now they are coming out with a new drug to help people who are on long term opiates.

wow!  actually i went to the ER because of severe cramping,  from tussionex...i think it was the worst in that area for some reason than any other drug i ever took...
i had severe cramping and didnt understand what it was from, a lot of pain!!!  i now know it was the tussionex, but it wouldnt have happened had i taken it properly...the tussionex caused this...it must have been because i was "backed up"...this was a few years ago now...be careful, and watch your diet...
