tylenol 2 addiction

I have been taking tylenol 3 for ten years and did well due to back pain taking two four times a day- now I have been taking three at a time probable four or five times a day which is abuse and need to go off it completely. What do I expect and how long with the symptoms be

Thank you! I didn't do well the first day and gave husband the rest of my pills and he is giving them to me when I really need it which of course is a help as I seem to have an addiction mentally to take them as well as the addiction itself. I have a bad back and know I have over used the pills. Thanks for being out there as I feel I can be totally honest

Tylenol 3=30mgs.codeine. 3x5 times a day=15 pills and 450mgs of codeine PLUS
5250mgs. of Tylenol.  Max. Tylenol per day is 4000mgs.   Soooo,you're very wise to stop this now!!
Michele gave you some good advice. Do follow that along with a lot of fluids. I'd stay away from Tylenol for a while.  Also,hot baths help greatly for aches and restless legs.

well, when you quit completely you will probably go thru withdrawals.  I dont know how much codeine is in tyl 3 or 2, but doesn't seem like a whole lot of pills to me.  You should feel very tired, achy, maybe restless legs and feet, grumpy, sad or depressed, maybe have diarrhea, headaches, its like a flu kind of.  These can go on for upwards of 2 weeks, depends on the person.  
Get you some vitamins, look at the rite side of this forum for Thomas Recipe.  Lots of good stuff for your body to get back to normal.  Also you wont be able to sleep most likely.  I just dealt with that.  But sometimes tylenolpm or something for otc sleep helps.  It took me 14 days about to get to sleep regularly and the energy wasnt back for almost a month, just me though.  Everyone is different.  
Dont expect to feel great for awhile, just to let you know.  Mine su-- for awhile.  Im about 117 days clean now though, and feeling marvelous!!
