ultram will help wit hmethadone

Myquetion is I have R a and I take methadone for pain.,I take 20 mil a day and alot of times 10 mil...I want to try not to take this So was wondering if ultram will help when I am detoxing and through the weaning process.Thanks Ruthie

I have heard that some people use Ultram during w/d from Vicodin, etc. But you have to look at the fact of substituting one drug and/or addiction for another. I personally abused Ultram so I am weary, but others have used it sucessfully as prescribed. I guess it just depends on you. Have you taken it before?

Yes,it was easy for me st stop.I Know they are addictive,but the doctors dont mind you taking it.They aren't controlled.They have to be weaker than methadone.MY huubby said for him the ultram was the worse thing he ever stopped taking.. guess everyone is different. Ruthie
