how do u stop, i am 30 yrs old i have two very small children and i have taking vics fr 2 yrs i now take 17 to 20 a day i never relized there were others who felt the way i do i cant cope without them i get very sick it didnt use to be that way i keep taking them so im not  sick  i dont know what to do??

I would begin by tapering if you can. Such a high dose is very toxic, like trout said. I don't know if you are able to control your intake, but if you are totally committed, it can be done. There are lots of tips and tricks to help you with a taper. The people here are very supportive and we'd love to be able to help you end your addiction.

Maybe this will rub you the wrong way....  I'm "assuming" that since you are talking about vicodin that your pills are 5/500?  I only say that because it seems that they are the most widely prescribed dosage of vicodin.   Please correct me if I am wrong....  Let's say that I'm right ok..... If I am here's the deal....  If you are taking 17 pills a day that would be 8500mg's of Tylenol a day.  If you are taking 20 then that is 10,000mg's of Tylenol a day.  

You may or may not know this but.....  the recommended daily MAX allowance of Tylenol is 4000mg's within a 24 hour period.  Anything above that can be VERY toxic to your liver.  If you keep up this regiment it is only a matter of time before your LIVER starts to scream at you.  Please take this into consideration.
