Can you call into work and tell them that you have the flu and need a few days to get better? If you show up to work during w/d's they might just tell you to go home.As for how you are going to feel, well it will feel like a bad flu.Everyone is different some have it hard and some not so bad. There are tons of different things to get to help but like I said what works for one may not work for another. For me I was using about 120 mg of vicodin a day for a good 6 months and when I went cold turkey I was pretty messed up for about 2 weeks. If I had a job there is no way I could have gone but that is just me.Try to baby yourself eat good when you can drink plenty of fluids(tons) take a lot of hot showers hot baths with epson salt helps a ton.I used to take a real long hot bath in epson salt and wait a hour and have my hubby rub my arms and legs down with muscle cream, then I would put icy hot sleeves(from wal mart)on both of my knees and both of my elbos. That helped me get some sleep while I had restless arms and legs.I also would sleep with a heating pad on my back because my back hurt too.Read as many posts as you can there are a lot of good ideas and like I said what works for one dosen't always work for another. You just got to try things out.Eatting well, and getting excercise as much as you can even if you don't feel like it.I hope some of this helps you.If there is anything else I can do to help let me know.

i withdrew from a heafty oxy habit.  i quit on a thursday and worked thursday and friday...was off sat and sun and went back to work.  start getting exercise as soon as you can.  it helps..those 1st 4 days it was hard but i made mself walk down the block and back...it helped so much..i tried to increase my walkin each day.  it also helps with the rls some ppl get.  try the aminos i used them and they helped.  my biggest problem was lack of sleep.  i would sit on her til 4 on the morn and then get up at 6 for work.  i am close to 500 days clean and it was worth every sleepless nite.

hey and welcome to the forum.  you have 2 choices to quit.  cold turkey or a taper...with c/t the w/ds are intense and last about 7 days and then you get better a little everyday.  with the taper plan u reduce your intake over a period of time.  most find this method drags out the w/ds more because each time you drop your dose you have some w/ds.  taper is hard for alot of ppl like me, who if you have them you take them....so its really up to you.  we are here to support you in your choice and encourage you to keep on.  keep posting
