vicodin good news

by mike f, Oct 27, 1999 12:00AM
I was addicted to vicodin and I was taking about 18 e.s. a day for about 8 months I know alot of you have been talking them longer then that, but what I can tell you is the stages I went through when I quit.1.was this nearves runing down my arms and legs very disturbing feeling that went on for about a week along with a severe fatigue and magor body pains I think my back was first and it worked it's way through every part of my body, I couldnt sleep to well for about a week my legs really buged me and my eye sight went really blurry for about ten days and then I woke up one morning and had perfect vision and a few days later it got blurry again for about another week then back to normal,my stomach really hurt bad and the way I got through that was boiling ginger and making this tea out of it and it helped sooth the pain. I think the biggest part of this whole process is the mental part TRUST ME it will go away that feeling of never being the same again will pass I think its very important to always remember that. I never had an injury I started taking them because I loved the numb high and the pills would energise me I could work longer and I was much more social with people and just a real nice guy when I was high, and a real grump when I couldnt score any. no disrespect for the kind docters of this forum they seem to have alot of good advise but you have to go through it to really know what will happen when you detox from it. god bless and hang in there it WILL be alright. mike f.

I am taking three a day (vicodin) and am in school.  I have at times taken up to twelve a day.  I find it unbearable to quit.  Has anyone heard of Trenax?  I have heard that you can enter a hospital and essentially be put to sleep while they cleanse your blood.  Upon awakening, you are clean at least physiologically, the addiction is gone.

I've been taking vicoden on and off for 3 years due to a bad
auto accident.  The most I take in a day is 4.  I know I'm
addicted, because now I take them to be social, energic, and o
once and a while I have real pain.  I hate this hold the drug
has one me.  I  want to stop, but mentally it is very hard.
Could you please tell me what kind of withdraws I will have and
how long they will last.  I can't seem to find a list of
the withdraw symptoms and how long I can expect to go through this ordeal.  Please give me specific answers.

Thank you for the support from the man who was taking 18 ES a day, damn that is alot.  so about one week huh?  Also is there anything to take to help the process along..   I hear valarian root helps too..  I can't seem to make it past 3 days, I go nuts..  I want to stop bad, but after that 3rd day I cannot resist it's call....  any more advice..  I am in a 12 step program and was clean for a year when the vicodin came into my life..  I didn't realize this would happen and I am ashamed to say and admit that I have been taking them.  yes I too got energy from them as well.  But now I don't, I seem to be as stagnant on them as I am without them..  so....
My story,.
Thanks
me
