thanks so much to everyone who takes time to respond..u really have no idea how much that means to me..actually, you prolly do....it helps me a great deal when people share their journies and circumstances and lend encouragment..it helps beyond how i can describe in words....i am feeling very lucky that i had some energy...maybe because i just forced myself to eat for the first time yesterday, had very, very little before that for pretty much a week, and have been drinking vitamin water, and my whole life have mostly just consumed soda..i am feeling very lucky today and hoping i get to sleep tonight ....that would be real nice...thanks again...i am here as well love my fam for u and anyone else who would like to talk...<3

Thats a good sign that you had a noticible change to the positive so early in the wd's. You may get lucky and not get hit hard..Energy and sleep I imagine will continue to be issues for awhile though..Try to eat and drink plenty of fluids..Vitamins would help too...:)

Hey sweetie I am going through the SAME thing trying to come off Vicodin's and take care of my son and be a housewife at the same time, I feel your pain it is hard I truly believe the WDs are physical and everyone around me is so sick of it and saying its all in my head, but they are NOT the ones trying to taper off and still function. If you need to talk feel free to message me anytime I am here for you. Good luck! I wish I had "advice" for you, but I am right smack in the middle of it so I am seeking advice too lol! Take care and the BEST of luck to you! God Bless

Hey...it does get better and every addiction is a bad one.  Don't I know it!!  I'm a big fat baby but I came through because I'm stubborn and asked for help!

The sadness goes away with time. Time is about your only friend but all this passes. It really is important to eat and drink. Don't be mean to yourself! Take some vitamins with minerals, also. Going for a walk will help a lot!  It does get better. Change your focus a little...you'll be fine!

thanks vicki i will try to force myself to eat and drink..i really need energy for the kids..this is what i am finding it hardest to deal with..to be happy and smile for them and play with them while goin through this...but it really helps to know i may only have to get through like this till friday..i just need some hope today that it will get better, because i feel like the saddness will never subside sometimes...i was taking 8 to 12 of the strongest ones. the tens...not so bad compared with people who have to come off oxy's or heroin..feel like a bit of a cry baby, but i just cant help it...it helps to hear from people who have been through it and tell u hang on it gets better

Hey...good for you for trying to stop the pills but you really need to take care of yourself. It's extremely important to eat and drink. Get going on that and you'll feel a lot better!   How much were you taking a day?

Hi & Welcome,

If you were taking 8 to 12 thousand mls, you would be dead. I am sure that is a typo.

That was a pretty drastic drop so the withdrawal is to be expected. You will probably feel like this until Friday but it is so worth it not to be chained to those evil pills.

If you look at the bottom right you will see the Amino Acid Protocol and the Thomas Recipe. Members who have taken the supplements swear by them. There is a natural supplement called Melatonin that also comes highly recommended. There is a bunch of other otc supplements we can recommend. Let us know if any other symptoms creep up.

Whatever you do stick around, hang in there and don't use.
