vicodin withdrawal.....when will I feel normal?

vicodin withdrawal.....when will I feel normal?

I am determined to break free from this horrible addiction to vicodin that I have been struggling with for about 2 years.  I have taken 5-7 pills a day, various strengths, for recreational use.  Well, I stopped getting high from it a while ago & now I am living in a constant state of withdrawal.  I am taking more and more and falling into a deeper & deeper depression.  I need to stop.  Can anyone tell me how long I can expect to feel W/D symptoms from vicodin.  Depression, cravings, chills, tiredness, & stomach upset?  I just feel like if I had some sort of timeline, it would make this alittle easier.  I have tried to quit in the past, but I never made it through the W/D period because it felt like it was never going to end.  I know everyone is different, but maybe someone could give me a rough estimate?  Thank you so much.

Welcome! I was the same way! Im on day 13! I think the fear is the worst part of wd for me anyway. It wasn't half as bad as I thought it was going to be. If ur prepared..w vitamins, food, drinks, etc..it makes it much easier to handle. Its like preparing for birth, seriously! I did it and tons of others have too! I actually was okay w wds because it meant I was getting myself back. The tiredness and mild depression and craving still linger but that's it. My mind is stronger and I can finally use my willpower to not give in.. good luck to u!!
