vicoprofen

I know this is a vague question, but approximately how much (frequency or mg) vicoprofen does it take for someone to get physically addicted? i've been taking, on average, no more than 2 a day for the past month for pain due to a hip injury and I really don't want to experience any withdrawals. 7.5hc/250?apap

Oh and don't I know it. Vics were my DOC too. Dangerous little things.

aaabbbcccc  I answered your question relating to quitting now. If you continue to take them, they can suddenly become a problem. Better to find alternative things before the vics become the problem.

You are right in what you have said but these are my DOC and they will grab you before you know what hits you.

aaabbbcccc....If it is possible i would look for an alternative non narcotic med for your hip pain.  The quicker you can get off these the better off you will be.  My pain also got better once i was off them......sara

Usually, when you take them as prescribed, for the reasons prescribed, you will not have a problem quitting. What you are describing is not addictive behavior.

Vicoprofen has been my DOC for a long time now.  2 a day for a month is not that much to have to detox from, but there's no way to say for sure what kind of withdrawals you may have.

It's not a high dose and I wouldn't think they would be too bad.  You might have some anxiety, restless sleep, some body aches, maybe some diarhhea, someting like having the Flu.

If you don't need them anymore, then stop taking them now before you build up to a higher addiction.

Good luck, and welcome to the Forum,
