vitamin addiction

Has anyone suffered vitamin B addiction. I was taking a nerve formula for neuropathy that had only B vitamins and upon trying to cut down on the dose I suffered extreme neuropathy pain as well as general body pain. I went back to my normal dosage and the symptoms went away. this happened twice and I am back on the B vitamin formula.

B vitamins are very effective in helping the body repair nerve damage. could be that you need them. You might want to see a ND about B vitamin injections. You can learn to do this yourself. It is a better way to get them into your system.

never heard of B addiction either, B is water soluble so every time you pee you loose most of it, thats why its hard to keep it in the body, not likely you could be in trouble, but ask a doc to be safe

Vitamin B3 is actually nicotinic acid. Your likely hooked on Nicotine. Most are not aware of this fact smokers do not inhale nicotine directly, they burn it first creating the purest most effective form of Vitamin B3 [niacin] known. Although the medical community is currently selling the marvels of overpriced smoking patches which are almost completely ineffective in reducing the cravings smokers feel when trying to quit. The symptoms you described are very similar to what  smoker feels when quitting.

The medical profession [if they really do want smokers to quit] might want to consider giving smokers what they actually crave in a prescription of B complex vitamins [B3, B6 and B12] The strategy could do more to get smokers to quit than the billions wasted to date, teaching the rest of us to hate them.

Where do you get your information???  Niacine is in NO WAY related to Nicotine.  I would suggest you do more research before you start posting false information.  http://www.livestrong.com/article/481405-niacin-nicotine/
