watch intervention on A@E tonight

i just saw previews for the show intervention on A@E and what a flashback i just had. it is about a guy addicted to pills of every kind and cocaine. they show him sniffing lines off a toilet in a bar, how sick. if you guys get this channel check it out tonight, it looked so good. it's on at 8 pm est. i can't wait to see this one

What a whimp I am.  This poor girl with RA.  Good Lord.  Can't imagine the pain and isolation for all those years.  I can't stand the main cry-baby "talk from your heart" dude, but I love the Doctor.  If not for him, no one in her condition would have gone.  Even my w/d' after 10 years are not as bad as her daily pain and challenges. Love her!

why were your eyes glassy? is that from pills or smoking something?..do the pills make your eyes watery, weapy? Remember..I'm ignorant to this...my A&E doesn't begin until 9 I'm in california...so I'll have my tissues ready...

I feel like such a wuss.  She suffered waaaaay more pain than I ever did, and I thought I needed painkillers.  Poor girl.  Yup, advil.  It's what I'm packin.

That was really sad.....  I watched the whole thing and didn't even cry.....until the end...then I bawled like a baby.

OMG.....I didn't move for an entire hour!!!!! I kept turning the volume up, and my husband watched it with me, and he even got choked up. Now me, I was balling like a baby!! Thanks Gizzy! Awesome! You're right, it sure hits home!

the part of this show that really gets to me is the end. watching them having to surender to their drug and the fear in their eyes when they are going to treatment because i remember that fear. how are we going to live without drugs, but now all i can think is how the he ll did i live on drugs. great show.

I totally agree, what a little snot!!!!  This is really sad.  I was addicted to pain pills, don't know if to that degree, but it's hittin home.

You will be ok.. You are tougher than you give yourself credit for.. We are all here for you, and maybe it will be a good thing to see how intense and raw this all is!  But if you think it will hurt your recovery rather than help it, by all means do whatever is best for you..

OMG, this might be kinda hard to watch....my feelings and wounds are so raw....the painkiller episode is on in an hour.... my stomach is already turning.

toxictome-- Mine does not start for another hour due to the time changes I guess.. But I will either post here or if there is a new thread started about the reaction to the episode I will post there.. These thing can be tough to watch when they hit home so much sometimes..
