weird question , Hair

Has anyone noticed that their hair is different since using opiates? Mine breaks easily, and I shed alot. Geez my miond is in a weird space, but I noticed I am shedding, I know it is normal to lose hair, but this is nuts.

Yes,same thing here!!!  I thought it was hormonal but maybe it does have something to do with opiates.Seems to affect everything else,why not the hair,lol

Yes, same here as well.  I seem to be losing alot more than I used to, even at 103 days clean.  It's also dry, brittle, frizzy. That isn't all either.  A few weeks after my detox (I was very, very ill), I started going gray, big time!  I had a few gray hairs before, but now it's all over my head.  I'm only 36. It's a little depressing.  Has anyone else had this happen to them?

being a hair dresser i had to jump in on this one...lol..All types of meds will do something to hormones and change out hair in some way...For me luckly i did not notice much different thank goodness....When using any meds i always tell my clients to get very good conditioning treatments to help out with damage....
The worst meds for hair, is anything for menapause s/p?

I find in the last five years I have turned gray prematurely. I don't knowwhat to say when I go get my license renewed this year when they ask hair color. I think I'll dye it before going and turn it light brown again. LOL Breaking?? I keep my hair in a flat top so it is to short to break.

I have salt and pepper hair NOW I weigh 155 used to train at the gym but not since the accident. Still kinda in shape thank goodness. Good Genetics I guess. Steroids helped a bit years ago I'd imagine hate to see if I did not work out then. My legs are getting kind of scrawney as nerve damage caused left leg to shrink in diameter. There you go that is me in a nutshell.

I am going on my third year straight using oxycontin as well as other opiates on and off after a severe motorcycle accident... Recently I have noticed my hair becoming extremely thin (always very thick), definitely brittle, and been experiencing extreme amounts of hair loss with no regrowth.The hair loss is becoming more rapid as well. I posted on another forum about this, but I need more answers!!!  I haven't read anyone else with a condition as severe.
