it is the shock of the dopamine leaving when u said bye bye to the pills that causes the rls..there r rx meds and otc stuff for it...there is an article in the health pages as well..many are anemic as we werent nutritious eaters when we used and that can contribute...also, people who work out daily r less likely to have rls...dopamine replacement helps the most but ur brain will kick in soon and start catching up on the dopamine shortage...tyrosine is also a great precursor for dopamine but if u r anxious it can cause more anxiety...have u talked to ur doctor?

Restless legs is one of the worst symptoms of withdrawal.. Thankfully you have 3 days in and shouldnt suffer too much more.. the only thing that helped my RLS was hot showers and walking.. (temporary help).. time will heal all so hang in there.  It will get better.  Good luck!

Also - I have heard of some over the counter stuff you can get at Wal Mart called "Hylands Sleep Aid" (or Hylands something).. It is supposed to help with the RLS.. You know you hear things that stick with you in life so one day I was on this forum and someone said "If I wake up dead one day and I have restless leg syndrome, I will know I am in he11".. It still makes me laugh.. Hang in there Adam.. you are doing great!

By far the worst symptom of w/d in my opinion. It is so, so annoying to have your legs kicking when you are trying to sleep! So I feel for you!
The good news is it will get better!! The advice from everyone is good. Also, soak in a hot tub, or a very hot bath before bed. It will really relax your leg muscles and give you a shot at falling asleep. Heating pad might help too.

Keep going! You will feel better soon!
