what do i do about the hole in my nose

I abused cocaine for about 5 years and now theres a hole in my nose. Ive been clean for 4 months now but the hole is still there. I was wondering if anyone knows what to  do about this situation, i mean will it ever heal or do i just have to live with this hole in my nose for the rest of my life, and if i do, what affects can this have on my health.

Been almost 10 yrs and may nose still has hole wont heal w/out surgery hate to say.

so do you experience health problems because of it?

I don't think so I have bad sinus but always had. I breath out of nose other than that nothing... Mines pretty good size how about you any trouble etc..

no but i do have to dig the scab out of my nose everyday in order to breath through it. did you have to do that and if you did does that ever stop happening/

Hi there,

I abused cocaine too for just over 5 years and made a small hole too. Although I have been clean from it almost 2 years, minus a couple 1 day relapses, I have seen a huge improvement in my nose, breathing and smell, but that hole does not go away. The tissue heals and the  soreness and nosebleeds and scabs do stop though, but it took a few months for me at least. Those scabs are from the tissue healing over and used to drive me crazy! Not only did it hurt, but its so gross when it looks like part of your brain just came out, yuck.

Does the hole in your nose go all the way through? Although there are some minor problems with the nose and breathing with using coke, there are much more bigger problems with this drug. The damage to the heart, the brain and not many drugs match the damage done to the nervous system like coke so be thankful your still with us and have stopped. I think you will be ok, but if you dont see improvement soon, you can always see a dr. Congrats on quitting, that is awesome. Are you battling many cravings?

thank you, i feel much better now that i know there is hope for my poor beak after all!  now hopefully i got lucky and there is hope for the rest of my parts. You're right on about the brain thing too!  Its sooooo nasty!  As for the soreness, I'm pretty much over that part of it thank the lord. I don't think the hole goes all the way through, all though I do think its pretty close, I was hittin it pretty hard for a while.  The cravings aren't too bad, I've learned how to deal with them in a kind of corny way, but hey it works for me!
