what to do?????

ive been on vicoprofen 7.5/200 for 2 years 3 a day.I went down to 2 a day for 2 days and am out.I have percocet 5/325 should i take 1 or 2  ??????.I dont know the strength compared to vicoprofen(hydrocodone/ibuprofen).ive been going 24 hours between doses(as long as i can take).How much longer should I taper down and is the percocet different than the hydrocodone???any help would be nice.

percs are a little stronger than vicodin. but since you were taking 7.5 hydro and now have 5mgs percs, it should even out. My doctor told me how to taper. I was taking about 150mgs a day (average) sometimes 300mgs but she didnt know I was taking that much. She thot I was taking 12 5 mgs oxy a day. She said to start with 5 a day (which is what I told her I was taking but it wasnt) and then three days later go down one pill and so forth. When you get down to the last week, Id start breaking them in halves and then quarters and spread em out as much as you can deal with. Also, try to get some clonidine (bp med but works for withdrawls wonderfully). So apply that taper to what youve been taking and hopefully you will be ok. Be prepared tho, get some imodium (immodium) for the diareah.

How many percocets do you have? Lets assume you have 60 perc's, There is no way you are going to get sick from withdrawal as you were told a 5mg perc is about equal to 7.5 hydrocodone. You said you have been talking getting by on the 2, 7.5 vicoprofen. Would you say you are comfortable. Take 1. percocet just as you have been taking the vicopro, and let me know if this is giving you enough relief, or are you having any withdrawal effects as in yawning, weeping eyes, and last but no least diarrhea, If you are take one perc every 7-8hrs. But oxycontin is a stronger opiate than hydrocodone, which wears off in about 6hrs, Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eating as this will keep your strength up. Thank God you have the percocet and are you scheduled to see your doctor for a refill on the vicoprofen? when? I dont want to go back to the doctor for any pain pills ever LOL.Im outta vicoprofen and have 20 percs left,but because its a different drug i dont know where to go with it?
