who designed these messageboards

I am pleased to speak with and read others experiences on this site. So my inquire is simple curiousity

I'm wondering why you designed the messageboard in this fashion. Most boards will bring the latest post to the top of the boards, most boards will allow editing of post, for typo errors, etc.. On your boards, if you respond to someone from last week, the likely hood of anyone reading and responding is greatly reduced..

Did you design this yourselves or is it a outsourced site..

Are there any tools for users to change any settings, etc..

just curious

i think MEDHELP did. you'll notice from time to time  the leftside ads will be a link to buy vicodin. someone posted about it alst week and said this site is free because the ads pay for it. Kind of stupid, if you ask me. I stay here because i've found so many caring supportive people. the bast way to respond to an older post i found is to just start a knew one and "comment" it it that person.

No tools that I am aware of- Pretty sure it's not moderated? And I feel the same about the posting thing- although at the rate these new comers are coming in, it's best to help address them before answering some of the older posts.. Not that I think they aren't as important, but you'll see alot of times the same concern in a couple different posts.

Thanks for the responses. I'm not trying to find fault as the tool is a big part of the withdrawal process.

I know in my world, I will not speak open about my addiction to methadone.   So it's of great help to get the thoughts out from inside..

I do run a 2 million page views per month messageboard and have done lots of research on boards , hence the questions..

If we had an edit or delete button, I probably would delete this post...

Day 9 on methadone withdrawal. Thanks for the space to write..
