why do people snort hydro

I posted earlier about my son ! why do people snort or take injections ? and what are the withdraw symptoms is a high fever one of them?

Why would you even want to get high? What makes people seek this... Im not a user but constantly catch my boyfriend doing it and it makes me sad cuz i dont understand... It also makes me wonder ... Things like he always high or just around me... N well it bothers me i try not to talk to him about it because he get so made at me... Cuz i dont never really hav n just hav other things id rathet do with my mind time money n body... But i just want him to b honest with me n not hid things???

I have attempted to snort hydros because i get really depressed but i smoke weed and smoke cig. instead but i am afraid to snort hydro's because i am on other medication (prescribed) lithium, triliptal, concerta, protonix, trazadone.......would snorting hydro's kill me?

I have many friends that "snort" Hydro's.  I have asked the same question...why?  I have tried it in the past, and thought it felt and tasted horrible!  I prefer to swallow them, and I believe it's just as addicting.  When I did ask why, it's like the other's said it's the instant feeling of getting "high".  Some will even snort tylenol if they have no hydro, just for the feeling of it going up their nose.

WHY? BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU A INSTANT HIGH WHICH MAKES YOU FEEL VERY BLISSFUL, ALSO THE ACT OF SNORTING IS ADDICTING.. IT MAKES YOU WANT MORE AND MORE UNTIL YOU ARE OUT OF CONTROL. IT IS VERY EASY TO DO,I KNOW AND I AM 58 YEARS OLD WITH A GREAT FAMILY AND LIFE, BUT YET FIGHT THIS DEMON. HOPE YOUR SON GETS FED UP WITH CHASHING HIS LIFE AND SLOWLY GETS OFF THE  DRUG. If they studied what is in hydrocodone, why its called HYDRO  codone....... they would realize its not a good idea to snort or inject it, especially health wise.

I too get a fever as a withdrawl from Vicodin. I have friends that have crushed and snorted but I never have. The reason why they do this is because it breaks down the release and make the high instant. The same with injections..it is instant. There is no time-release. I have not read your previous post but I will. It sounds like you are a concerned mother and not a user? It is a very difficult battle to say the least. Unfortunately we all take pills/drugs for different reasons. Perhaps he is at a stage in his life where he is not sure what road to take. It could be several things etc..

I know you love him very much. It is great that you are reaching out to learn more about this.

Usually they are snorted or injected for effect. In other words, it gets into your system faster and it gives you the high faster. Sometimes it could also be the method that is addicting, especially with injecting.

And yes, a high fever could be a symptom of withdrawal.
