why withdrawal sometimes?

i came home to visit family to withdrwawl from percocet
ive been taking them off and on for a year and a half.
ive gone through withdrawal a few times...had severe runs and mild mood swings

I took my last percocet on thursday around 11 am
sat 1 am the vomiting started...i had drank a few drinks at the bar also
vomiting increased and last 8 hours then extreme abdominal pain started
ive never felt pain like that in my life....
i continure dry heaving and the runs until i cant stand the pain anymore and ask my sister
who i came to stay with to take me to E.R. pain steadily increased and im wishing death
right before they administer pain meds my sister gets ahold of my boyfriend
who has recently bgun worrying that i have a problem
he tells them not to give me anything becasue i have been taing percocet and may have a dependency
they give me xrays and check me out for a stomach ulcer
give me some tylonol which i begged for for an hour
tell me to follow up with a dr for possible ulcer

I dont know how much of this was withdrawal since its never been that bad and i had a similar experince when i was 18 and did not use any drugs at that time

it is now sunday morning and im feeling almost 100 percent back to normal
its been over 3 days since taking any percocet.
if that wasnt wihdrawal i dont think i can takt anymore
im not experiencing any amxirty or cravings for pills

does anyone have any withdrwal advice?

p.s i got up to 100 mgs a day when i decided to quit cold turkey.

Very cool. It should only go uphill from here. The first three-4 days are the worst. Don't let the anxiety or especially the lack of sleep get to you. You get over those in time too.

I guess friday would be concidered day 1 for you, so you are now on day 3 (3 1/2). You will probably have 2 more days of feeling pretty crappy. Everyone is different, so maybe you'll start to feel alittle better each day now. But don't be surprised or upset if you still have some bad days coming.I would highly reccommend not drinking alcohol for a long while, it will upset your stomach and lessen your resolve to stay clean. It's just not the thing to do right now. And after day 5, don't think that your gonna be all better, cured and ready to rock n roll. It's a slow thing. So, take it easy on yourself and be patient. When your done being sick, then the really hard stuff starts.... the cravings.  Have a plan. And keep posting
Good luck and stay strong.

Yes, that sounds like what I go through exactly. If I can't make the doctor understand it's from withdrawals, they generally try to G.I. tube me. Having a tube shoved down your throat when you're going through withdrawals is not fun, i assure you!!!
