will i get instantly addicted to ambien?

I took Ambien years ago for a longg period. I became tottaly addicted. I had to get detoxed in a mental hospital ward. It went very well in 5 days i was cured. Anyway WOULD I GET INSTANTLY ADDICTED AGAIN FROM 1 PILL? I heard if you have been addicted to an opiate pain killer b4. You can or will get instantly addicted again from 1 pill or a single dose. Would this happen with Ambien? I realy need to know.

If you need help with sleep, have you tried Melatonin?  It's all natural and it works really well.  I used to take Ambien but I found I was having trouble sleeping without it.  Even when I took it, it didn't always worked.  I switched to the Melatonin and it works great.  I had been on the Ambien for years.

once you're addicted to a drug, you're ALWAYS addicted to that drug. if you were once addicted to ambien, then you still ARE addicted. you didn't get cured.

i would wonder just how strong the addiction actually was if you felt 'cured' within 5 days and had no cravings from that point on....but it does also depend on the TYPE of addiction. did you abuse them to feel good, or simply have a need to take more and more for the same effect?

either way, i'd stay away from a drug you've abused in the past.

HI ambien is highly addictive if taken over extended times....I highly doubt 1 dose is going to be a problem but we have had members who have struggled to get off it after being on it a wile
there are other drugs such as trasadone that dont have the addictive property's that ambien or any of the other z meds have talk to your doctor about this and get put on something safe good luck and God bless......Gnarly

mayberry ok i wasn't cured just lost the physical withdrawls It wasn't just for the good feeling i have physical conditions  . I take Prosom now trasodone i am alergic (allergic) to i tried it, When i took trasadone i did not sleep at all and felt anxiety. So it's not like an opiate pain killer one pill instantly addicted. I was just wondrin if i could take ambien like only once maybe twice a week to make the Prosom stretch/ last longer. Oh i take suboxzone now that's what cured the physical withdrawls. Suboxzone is a life saver. Oh i got off topic there. Just tellin my story.
