withdraw from Oxy

My friend is withdrawing from 100mg of oxy/day.
What should I expect? I'm scared. How bad will the symptoms be.
Please let me know how i can help him through it.

I agree that part mentally of knowing that all it will take is a run to wherever and get a pill and this will be all over is the hardest thing to deal with.
Which is why as said you have to really want it

that is why i say he should taper further down and than ease off it will be much easier.

Either way he is very lucky to have you and In the process of he says hurtful things please know that it is the addiction NOT his feelings for you

I say this as i know i said some really nasty stuff to my ex once when i attempted to kick.

Yes he will be coherent. I believe that wds a lot of times are made worse by what we expect and what we read...He is going to have cold sweats and stuff but he is just going to appear like he has the flu and his mind will constantly be on getting more pills. He can do this..I have done it before and am in the process of doing it again. The thing is that he has to WANT to quit, or it just wont happen.

He is going to be feeling like ****
It will be like a Horrible Flu
aches and pains in places he never had them, diarrhea, gas,will be nausous and need to eat crackers.

Have him take vitamins and LOTS of Hot baths and showers


why in heck Is he not trying to come down slowly??

Get enough have you give him so much every few days lower the dose by 5
he would do a heck of a lot better
even better find someone on methadone and get some methadone and detox with that if you can locate someone with 5mg methadone pills it would be great.

even if he could get oxys and lower the dose  100 a day is not too bad  but still it would be better if he could lower that dose to 30 a day or even 40 a day and then drop off.
usually after 4 days the worse is over
There will still be a couple weeks where he will not be able to sleep right and when he does his legs may ache when he tries to sleep and he can not get comfortable again lots of hot baths
working out vitamins and well honestly after the first week sex helps :0)
