withdrawal intensity .. low dosage

withdrawal intensity .. low dosage

I was prescribed 15mg roxicodone 6 months ago.  6 months later I have been taking still only 15mg daily,  I skip days sometimes.  Some weeks I will take 2 days off, some weeks 3 days. This has been going on for 6 months.  I only take them at night after 5pm to help with sleep and moderate pain.

I am done and not getting more...How intense would a withdrawal be considering both the amount I was taking and the fact that I did not use everyday, but practically everyday.

I realize this dosage is low compared to other people. I never increased the dose for fear of losing control.  I usually experience mild discomfort when I would take a couple days off but that would last about a day and then it would be more psychological.  I never drink and am in good shape.

I feel that the physical aspect of withdrawal will be mild..but the psychological effects will take longer to overcome.

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

i would say..and only guess..that it would be a cake walk comparitively..i mean compared to someone who used everyday/or someone who used for longer/or someone who used a substantial dose..u r at a low dose for a short amount of time so get out while the getting is good..i do see ur point on the psychological issue if u used for energy or for fun/to work harder/study harder/socialize harder/but u r smart to let them go

During the days that I was off I felt ok, was still able to sleep and function at work.  I agree with you though get out while the gettings good.  Too much of a good thing always comes with a price
