withdrawl from oxy ir and oxycontin

I have been tapering off of oxycontin and oxy ir for a few months now. I was originally taking 120 mg of oxycontin and 20 of oxy ir each day. I am now taking 40 mg of oxycontin and 10 of oxy ir. I am finding the lower my dosage goes the harder it is to taper off. I am doing this with my doctors support, I have been taking these drugs for over 4 years due to a severe injury. I would appreciate any advice. I am thinking of just stopping all of it and suffering through the withdrawl (withdrawal) rather than it lasting for a few more months. any advice?

just my 2 cents: i think that's a good choice - to just jump off now.

if you are finding it harder to taper, and are uncomfortable anyway, it seems like this would be a good jumping off point.

at that dose, i imagine you'll have a few uncomfortable days, but then will go uphill from there (physically.)

and then you can be done with it.  instead of dragging it out.  in a week, you can be done with it...

good luck to you! and just know alot of people have jumped off at that dose and got through it.  so can you...

I would have to agree!

I have been tapering off suboxone, and have finally had enough!  I go through a week or two of wd's at each decrease anyway, I would rather just jump and get it over with!

If it werent for my job, I would be able to handle these wd's no prob, but I am an International Flight Attendant sometimes overseas for a month at a time.  I am going through wd's in Budapest right now and it really *****!

I am going to check into a detox center when I get back to the states on the 10th.

My two cents....  Just jump and finish if you can handle it!

My thoughts are with you.
