its not me itsmy fiance. he quit oxycontin about 5 weeks ago. he was first put on suboxone was on that for about a week and then switched to methadone---all done under care of doctors. i know the jerky movements are from withdrawl i always saw them when he was using but these are like full body would almost think seizure like movements---scares me and him. i personally think it is just the chemicals in his brain getting back to normal but am not positive. he was taking i'd say 300mg of oxycontin daily snorting them. thanks for the help.
how far into the process r u? like 24 hrs 48 hrs? and what was u daily dose? was it oxycontine///did u chew or snort??? lemme know and i may can help..but we r all different...no one will experience the same exact detox
dopamine is a a hault in ur brains production cos u tool it away..brain has gotta catch up...ur twitches, jerky movements etc are caused by an abrupt lowering of the dopamine level...have u never noticed how a parkinson patient jerks and twitches? the hallmark of that disease is low..til no...dopamine production...ours will replenish tho as the brain heals..good article in the health pages on rls
