xanax and a drink at lunch

Hey all :) well I'm passed the 3 week mark of no oxy and I'm pleased with myself.  I am still taking a low dose of xanax ( .25 mgs  2x per day ) until I see my doctor next week....then I would like to come off those too.  I'm hoping .50 a day is not a high dose to come off of.  

So here's my question for today. I forgot I took my xanax late today because I usually take it first thing in the morning but it's the weekend and I slept in.  Well then I went for lunch with a friend and I had an alcoholic slushy...I wasn't thinking that I had just taken the pill an hour earlier.  I don't drink alcohol very often and it's never been my doc but I know that you are not supposed to mix xanax with alcohol...  so now I'm worried about this one drink I had.

I don't think I would worry because you are taking a low dose anyway and 1 drink does cause an additive effect,but at that dose it would not kill you.
You can't stop living and if having a drink or three with a friend does not throw you off  your recovery..whats the harm.
I limit myself to 3 glasses of wine a week and today is wine day.I have already had 2 because my son wanted me to try a different wine he bought for me.
You notice I said or 3 because that is my self imposed limit per week and it works fine for me.
Others may disagree with me,but I have found 3 glasses per week is ok with my lifeplan and liver.
I am actually celebrating taking a full day a week every week from work,something which I have not done in years.I have worked 6 and 1/2 days a week for years and now have started to work 6 days per week.Saturdays off....wine day....

OMG..What was i thinking...must have been the wine.Of course one should never mix benzos and alcohol.I was only trying to reassure you that your accidental mix was probably not fatal because you only had 1 drink and 1 pill.
Please do not mix benzos and alcohol at all.
