xanax question

Hi,
I have always been an opiate addict, and i always know what to expect with the detox, exactly when its coming, why, how, when, what etc. (sad to say i know). However i was wondering if theres anyone out there thats experienced xanax wd's and what theyre like? Ive always heard that the xanax detox is the worst, and im wondering why that is? I have been through some bad opiate detoxes and to think xanax is worse is discouraging, but im wondering what it is that makes it worse. What the symptoms are ,etc. despite all my history with using, xanax is one i dont no too much about. any info is appreciated. thank u

Hi well as for the symptoms I could not sleep at all for a week or so then for the next 8 weeks it was on and off  one thing I think might just be me was a loud buzzing sound in my ears kind like a florecent lightwhen it goes bad  I even remember asking my wife if she could here it  it was madding also had panic anxiety it is similar to opetes but also different  like every thing every body is different what bothers some doesent bother others you just have to go threw it  it is good you werent on it that long so you may not experience any thing the sleep deal could be the heroin also  keep posting for support you can do this..............Gnarly................

I think im okay in terms of needing to taper because it wasnt too long. Just a month or two and a couple mg's a day. I will speak with a doctor though about it. I was just wondering if id feel wd's and what they may be like as im already fighting the opiate wd's jsut wasnt sure if i would have other symptoms on top of this or if it would just sort of heighten/amplify my current opiate wd. thanks guys!

Hi  and Sarah is right you need to be tapered by a doctor  . out of the benzos xanex is one of the harder to get off it hits its very own brain receptor making it hard to switch  it is a fast action  and has a short 1/2 life I was on it for 5yrs the detox is slow because of the long taper if you do it to fast you can wind up with seizures most doctors will step you off it slowly then switch you off to a long acting benzo like clonipine to finish the taper please seek professional help this is not for home detox.........................Gnarly..............................................

hi xanex is the same detox as opiates but also a very sensitive to light and a strange dream like state for a day or so but by day 3 just the usual detox horrors hope that helps but do try let me know?
