ok i am now 27 hours off of xanax went cold turkey after i got down to 1 mg i started at 8mgs 4 weeks ago so i just saif screw it and stopped at 1 i know i'm supposed to taper down or switch to a valium but honestly who has time for all that and i'm tired of being out of work ive been out of work going on my 6th week and i'm a part owner my partner is doing most all of my job i feel guilty and i cant have that **** on my plate while trying to get over a large dosage of xanax and high doses of pain pills percs roxy's and oxy's up to 400 mgs daily the reason i quit is becauei i want to get into reality so far i'm not happy with it i got really depressed after quitting pain pills so a doctor gave me lexapro and lunesta for my sleep cuz i'm sleepijng for 11 minutes one night none the next its been terrible i have an almost 2year old beautiful daughter and theres no way i can keep up with her so my question is HAS ANYONE quit XANAX like this or similar or heard of or anything positive ?

by the way i feel irritable and some tremors not too many i took it for sleep and stress and this lunesta sux it does nothing
anysugeestions for better sleep off withdraaws from the rebound effect

I have had friends go into seizures going cold turkey on xanax. You have to go see your doc and get an anti seizure med if you have been taking xanax like that. Everybody is different but I have seen it happen.

just be careful...i have heard that its actually quite dangerous to just stop taking benzos..i have heard of people having seizures etc...  please consult with your doctor
