zoloft for wd's

zoloft for wd's

I am currently taking 60mg of percocet for approx. 4 months. I was clean for 3 months and now i am up to 60mg on the perc's. I was wondering, my doctor prescribed me 50mg a day zoloft for other reasons. Will the zoloft help the withdrawals? i was wondering?

It may help with the depression that often accompanies the withdrawals...

i'm using zoloft (vitamin Z), and it's hard to say from my perspective. I was on Z when I started abusing hydrocodone. I tried weaning from zoloft sometime ago, before hc, and it was hard, different from opiate withdrawals. As "worried" mentioned, could help with the depression, if it surfaces. i recommend asking your doc.
best wishes

Many get on an anti-depressent before detox...i did 2 weeks prior and quit a couple months afterwards..I am not sure if it helped or not and i do know they take weeks to kick in...if u were prescribed it for another condition and your doc feels you need it, i would take or talk to him about it...AD just have never helped me that much for some reason or maybe i just dont like taking them everyday....I am taking enough vitamins to choke a horse right now!  LOL
