Can Adderall(adderrall) be addicting?

I've been taking adderall (adderrall) for a very long time i was taking it without a prescription i would get it from differnt people who had a prescription, i take at least 9 a day 20 mg when i get them, i take them for the energy i have alot of people living in my house my children with their children and my parents have a apartment downstairs, its hard keeping up with everything i am the kind of person if my house is not clean or the way i want it to look i get really upset and adderall (adderrall) helps me get everything done and it keeps me from complaining and getting on my family because i need help to keep up with everything its makes me a nicer person and we don't have so much conflict in our family, i finally ask my dr for a prescription i told her i was taking them without a prescription and i need them because i have problem focusing and staying on task thats the truth but i did'nt tell her how much i was taking, she did not want to give me the prescription but i finally talk her into it, when i don't have them i do nothing and iam very nasty to everyone i am 44 and without them i am so tired and drained, i just wondering if they are addicting and beleive me iam not making any excuses i know its wrong and should'nt be taking them the way i do, they make my life alot easier to manage and iam nicer to the ones i love i hate being nasty to them, my husband does not like me taking them like i do he says i have a problem but i feel if
they are helping me and iam not hurting anyone everyone should leave me alone about the amount i take i know what iam doing and i,ve been taking them for along time its nothing new, thanks for listening and any information on this subject would be helpful.

I would not say that you are addicted; however you are dependent on Adderall (adderrall) for your daily function. I am not sure that is a healthy way to be.  You seem to have too much on your plate and taking stimulant may be the only way to deal.  The reason you need to take more and more is because there is a phenomenon of tachyphylaxis that happens after a prolonged intake of stimulants. Your body stops responding to it and you need more and more, however drug have side effects and the more you take the mode side effects they have.  Adderall (adderrall) in particular can have severe cardiovascular effects after long-term use, especially in adults.
I believe, what you need to do is to see a good psychiatrist and check to see if you are not depressed, because, that is what you stuck me as.  There are medications out there that would me much more appropriate for you in your situation.  You are very needed by many people; killing yourself early does not sound to me like a good solution.
Take care of mama first and foremost, take a little vacation, and start taking correct antidepressants, which will stop you from being angry and overwhelmed.  Then you will feel more in control.  Good luck to you.
