DOCTOR, I NEED YOUR HELP.

nicky54Doctor,
Happy New year i had written you a while back but did not get my questions answered as possibly i was not specific enough.I live in South America and the help here is somewhat limited and yes this is a somewhat third world country meaning they do not have certain types of withdrawal medications available here as they do in the states and i do not have the funds even if i could do go to a rehab. Iam 60 yrs years with type two diabetes and suffer from drug addiction.I do not have any heart condition although i smoke and have some edema in my legs and i could be wrong but i believe that is due to my smoking and the methadone i recently {past 7 months got off of on my own at home with Kratom because i had no other options. For the last 5 months or so i got hooked on about 180-200 mgs of short acting oxycodone{not Oxycontin} There is no Tylenol in it just straight Oxycodone and i have to take it every 6 hrs or i suffer withdrawals.I am tired and want to stop. These are the medications i have available to me at home. Clonidine 150 mcgs, Plenty of 10 mgs of methadose not methadone.First thing i wanted to know is how long based on my time using and amount taken will i go through withdrawals where i will not suffer that much. Next i made a decision to use the methadose for about 5.7 days to get off the oxycodone. Can i use it without having any big problems and getting re addicted to the methadone as long as i stick to my guns and stop right away. I used to take some clonidine with the
methadose and when i was down to 10 mgs after 4 yrs i took Kratom and i made it through the withdrawals with minimal problems. In your opinion and i hold you harmless of any and everything what dose of methadose should i start with to get off the 200 mgs of oxycodone, then the next day dose and so on and so on for how many days until i would be somewhat OK and not get hooked on the methadose. i have plenty of Kratom and as i said it took me off four yrs of methadone but i managed to stay on only 20 mgs for the whole 4 yrs Please i have no help no advice and i am pleading for some answers here as i am very serious about stopping.Again i have no doctors or people to help me and i regret the mistakes i made starting the oxy?s. I was totally clean for 17 yrs and have been using different opiates  on and off for 9 yrs now.. Can you give me a plan to work with as i do not want to die and that?s the bottom line.!! Please help me with some advice as i think i know what to do, but am far from sure! I will await your reply.

Thank You,

nicky54

I was not giving you an attitude.iwas clean for almost 20 yrs so i guess i did something right. They have NA and AA here, i have an english speaking sponsor but no one at the meetings has my problem or had my problem.Where i live the only three main abuse culprits are alcohol, weed and Bazuco which is like crack cocaine  but allot worse. In any case what i don´t understand is if you have had my problem before why didn´t you share with me how you got off or your stuff if it was the same as mine as i was i using. 200 mgs of oxycodone{short acting instant t release. Anyway you do not have to explain yourself nor give any advice or help. Iam very happy for you that you´re 6 months clean and jeep up the good work. I have gone from 200 mgs down to about 60 mgs but i have thrown some methadone into the mix to help me lower my dose and i have quite a bit of experience with that as well and i am worried that i am heading in the wrong direction with that.I have experience with all drugs unfortunately ,but not with a horrible oxycodone habit like i have now.Sorry that i took you the wrong way.You sounded like an opinionated individual ,not an addict that really wants to help another. In any case we both know that´s what this is all about.

Take care and good luck,

I'm not sure why you are giving me attitude. I was trying to help you. Thinking maybe if you rephrased your question the doctor might answer you. Yes, I have been in your shoes. I'm an addict.. 6 months clean. I have been clean before and relapsed. I know how horrible addiction is and how hard it is to quit. I have also been a member of this site for years and have tried to give other addicts advice on getting clean. That's why I know it is not allowed to give a dose down schedule. I think it's a stupid rule but whatever. I thought that was what you were asking for and I was trying to explain to you why your question might not have been answered. Maybe you should seek out a local AA meeting. I know alcohol isn't your DOC but AA is everywhere.  And you might find some support with addiction in your town.  Good luck.

Well then ,let me ask you a question. Are you an addict or have you suffered from addiction? Have you been in my shoes before? If you have as you can see iam looking for help.If i had the resources where i live, i would use them ,but i honestly don´t.! If you have been in my shoes i need help not if someone can give dosing schedules .I myself have plenty of answers better than a doctor in many situations but this is my first with this. problem and i want it to be my last. There was some one here that gave me excellent advice and iam so grateful to that person.I am waiting to hear from  them again as i have taken steps to lower my dose and i have significantly but in doing so i might be creating additional problems for myself .I see nothing here that stresses any restrictions on what one can do if they want to help another! Certainly i would hope not.It does say ¨¨MED HELP¨¨

Thank You,

You the only person that was smart enough and sharp enough to give some advice.I live in the country of Colombia and i am married here and am having a horrible time in  my life and i blame no one but myself. This is far from my first rodeo with all of this crap from  heroin to methadone and everything in between. I was also on subs for 2 yrs and had a tough time getting off of that and heroin at the same time period but of course not the same time. I was taking subutex anyway..I think i already made a mess of my detox.here´s what i have been doing and it´s been the same for about 5 days now and iam scared and have no idea what i am doing. Now iam afraid iam going to get hooked on the methadone and I DO NOT WANT THAT BUT I THINK WITH YOUR HELP I CAN FIX THE DAMAGE. I HAVE BEEN TAKING IN THE MORNING ABOUT 10--12 MGS OF METHADONE AND THEN LATER ON BETWEEN 60-80 MGS OF SHORT ACTING OXYCODONE {NOT OXYCONTIN !} I WAS ON  200 MGS OF THE OXYCODONE SOI THERE´S A BIG IMPROVEMENT THERE. I HAVE PLENTY OF CLONIDINE AT HOME THEY ARE 150 MCGS. LITTLE TABLETS. 150 MICROGRAQMS. I THINK STANDARD THAT´S HOW THEY COME. I HAVE NEVER HAD A OXYCODONE HABIT BEFORE{1ST TIME} AND IT IS HELL. PLEASE HELP ME. CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO NOW TO FIX THE DAMAGE I CAUSED MYSELF STEP BY STEP. I HAVE THE CLONIDINE AND ABOUT 25 10 MG METHADONE PILLS. WHAT SHOULD I DO. IS THERE ANY WAY WE CAN TALK OR SEND EMAILS TO ONE ANOTHER IF NOT I UNDERSTAND AND WE CAN KEEP IN TOUCH HERE.. I NEED SOME DAMAGE CONTROL AND CORRECT THIS DETOX.  PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU CAN.

THANK YOU,

__SCOTT.

I have been thru thus before maybe i could help, i have used clondine and suboxone for my withdrawls and the ways that i did it was on day 1 i took a whole sub and 1 clondine then on day 2 i did half a sub and a clondine then day 3 i did a quarter of a sub and a clondine and on day 4&5 i did a quarter of a sub and a clondine and on the 6th day i was good with NO withdrawls systems but it took a month and a half toget back to my old self but like i said i didnt feel no withdrawls systems after day 6... I hope this helps and good luck....

Ps
You can use methadose instead of suboxone it works also.....

I don't think this website allows anyone to give you a taper down schedule. Doing so without a doctor watching out for you could be dangerous. I hope the online doctor will answer your post with some advice though.
