I know I have a Drinking problem

What can I do? I have to have beer, I am drinking at least 15 beers a night,
I have been doing this for at least 2 months, I don't even get a "buzz" anymore
I have been drinking for at least 15 years, but never this heavy. I am scared
that it will tear me away from the ones I love, If I don't have the cash to buy
the beer, I will dig through change to get it, It is easy to say, well just
don't buy it, but I can't help myself, I have been through AA and other
treatment centers but I can't go and sit there and listen to them say that I
have a problem when I know I do, It's kinda hard to explain, but I want beer, I
can't stop, I need help bad! Also, I can't handle driving down the road anymore,
I drive home from work and the people that "poke" just drive me insane, I want
to get out and smack them, I am very ill tempered and feel as though I can't
take anymore, I punch my dashboard and curse at them, I know I have a problem,
but cannot find the answers! thank you!

Dear Larry,

You sound very distressed and very much in need of good professional help.
I'd start with getting in to see your personal physician ASAP(if you do not have
hone, go to a local clinic), opening up to any friends you have who are in
Recovery from Alcoholism (you might even consider joining them at an AA
meeting), and finding out about alcohol treatment programs in your area (you
might contact ASAM at http://www.ASAM.org to find a good addiction doctor who is
located nearby). With the help of qualified professionals, you should be able to
stop drinking, contain the irritability, and improve the quality of your life.
Good luck!

DrSteve
