METHADONE HELP

I HAVE BEEN ON 65 MG OF METHADONE SINCE JAN 6TH.I NEED TO GET OFF OF METHADONE.I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD SON AND NOBODY TO WATCH HIM.I HAVE NO FAMILY OR FRIENDS..ALL OF MY FAMILY PASSED AWAY 3 YEARS AGO IN A PLANE CRASH GOING TO ANCHORAGE.I HAVE TO WORK AND WATCH MY SON.I CANT BE SICK FOR DAY'S.I STARTED METHADONE IN JANUARY TO GET OFF OF ROXYCODONE SO I COULD HAVE A BETTER LIFE.NOW THE METHADONE KEEPS ME TIRED.I DON'T WANT TO STAY ON METHADONE.THE CLINIC I GO TO WANT HELP ME.THEY WANT ME TO STAY ON THE METHADONE.PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME IF THERE IS A WAY TO GET PRESCRIBED DIHYDROCODEINE.I READ ON ANOTHER SITE THAT IT WORKS ALOT BETTER AND WITH LESS SIDE EFFECTS.I CAN EVEN BE REACHED AT 864-437-8204..THAT IS MY HOME NUMBER..THANKS AND GOD BLESS!!!

You should set up a taper with the clinic doctor. Start tapering your dose slowly. This will make your withdrawals easier. I was on methadone for 6 years and I now have about 17 months Completly clean. Getting off methadone will be  hard but since you haven't been taking it too long it shouldn't be to bad. If you want it bad enough it can be done. You should take vitamins and drink protein shakes to help.

It is soooo hard but the longer you are on it the worse it is. You DO need to get off methadone. It maybe the hardest thing you ever do but in your situation you don't have a lot of choice. A lifetime of methadone or a few weeks of severe illness. The decision is yours. And best of luck. I'm sorry that you have no family but if you need support we'll be here.

I LIVE IN SOUTH CAROLINA NOW...I FEEL HORRIBLE RIGHT NOW..THE WEATHER IS GOOD HERE..IT IS 73 TODAY...I HAVE NOT HAD ANY METHADONE SINCE FRIDAY AND IT IS JUST STARTING TO HIT ME BAD...

Try waiting for the Dr to answer your question. I asked last night and she answered 2hrs. later. I'm coming off Fentynal.Never take it. i.m 6'4 284 and was using the patch for about 3yrs. It's 80-100 times stronger than morphine. I thrash and shake a lot. But this Dr. might have the cure. What they call it is a flushof ur system. They knock u out and run iv's in and monitor u and they insert something under ur skin to block the craving ofthe drug. I lived in Ancorage for a little while before they shipped me to Galena airport and then to Eielson. Hows the weather? We are freezing in Northern Michigan today with wind chill is -29
