Withdrawal from Paxil

I have been taking Paxil for about 3 years. I wanted to get off the drug to
see if I could function without it. I have been following a slow weaning process
and have been having uncontrollable crying jags along with the physical
sensations of having an ocean in my head. I don't know what to do.

Dear Kathy,

You need to consult with the physician who is prescribing the Paxil.
Sometimes it helps to switch people to an antidepressant with a longer half-life
when discontinuing Paxil (paroxetine). Good luck!
