We do the detoxification of any opioid in our hospital under sedation ( www.opiates.com) . There are other treatfactorment centers and different processes. How you will feel is a combination of factors including metabolism, anxiety level, health, tolerance to discomfort and so on. Try to have your family doctor on call if needed for symptoms you cant handle if you try to do it at home. You can get your life back..
Dear Jamie,
Taking the Tramadol is probably not helping. It attaches to the receptors like opiates. We actually treat a large number of patients that are dependent on Tramadol. It should take 2 to 3 weeks for the withdrawal to subside. It sounds like you are a strong person , that really wants to put this behind. Have you tried to get a hold of your family doctor, maybe he can help with some of the symptoms. You are almost there …Keep strong.
