stopping butrans

Also, with my other question about Butrans and Tramadol or Norco, when I stop the Butrans (Which I hope someday to do) will I have withdrawal from that?

Here are the facts. Norco is a pure opiate mixed with acetaminophen. We already know that you are opiate dependent. Butrans is buprenorphine which is a partial opioid receptor agonist /antagonist.  This means it has higher affinity to the receptor than the hyrocodone in Norco and will act as a block at the receptor site but will only transmit part of the "pain control" message to the brain.  Thus if you take any narcotic while on Butrans it will not work as well.
Tramadol -no matter what your doctor says or thinks- is an opiate! It acts on the opioid receptors in the brain. It also increases the amount of serotonin in the brain as well. Thus, it is contraindicated to be taken with Celexa which also increases the amount of serotonin in the central nervous system.
The nasty feeling you are getting may well be the beginning of what we call serotonin syndrome. Please, don't take them together.
As to the withdrawals from Butrans, yes, you will have them.  As I said, it is an opioid receptor agonist/antagonist.  You will have to taper it slowly. Read my blog on withdrawal options.
Do me a favor find another doctor, take care of yourself.  Good luck to you and my best wishes.
