Most hospital ERs would not be of much help.  Withdrawal from opiates like vicodin is not dangerous, but it is miserable.  Consider seeking out an addictionologist-- your problems with vicodin will NOT be over after the withdrawal is over.  It is much harder to stay clean after the withdrawal than most people imagine.

An addictionologist may provide clonidine in pill form or as a patch;  either can reduce the symptoms by about half.  The community forum may have some other suggestions, so be sure to check over there.

Good luck!
