Try to find a neuro-endocrinologist and get testing on your pituitary. High cortisol would eat away at your bones, muscles, etc. but it can cycle so be hard to test for. I had cyclical pituitary Cushing's.
They just ran two cat scans. They refused to do the MIBG3 because they said all of the blood test were normal. I have had so many test I should be glowing in the dark. The nodule was 1 to 2mm in size according to the radiologist on the left adrenal gland. I posted all of my symptoms there are to many to repeat. Thank you for your reply.
Oh My goodness, do I ever have other symptoms. I have been ill for 13 months now. I have loss of bone density, increased allergies, crashing fatigue, painful periods, low body temperature, hair falling out, severe digestive issues, cold hands and feet, weak muscles, numbness in arms and legs with tingling, recurrent infections, dry skin, calcium kidney stones, pain in neck arms and upper back, depression, lightheadedness, several of my toenails are now coming off, high and low blood pressure at different times of the day, i can't drive anymore and I havent' been able to hold a spinal alignment in more than a year. I have had borderline if not low potassium, phosphorus and vitamin d blood test and also periodic high calcium, low citrate in the urine.
I have seen 35 doctors in the past year so far I have been told, candida, adrenal fatigue, parasites, metobolic syndrome and estrogen dominance but none of these docs have been able to tell me how to make it better and have only caused it to get worse. I am extremely frustrated and getting sicker.
Specifically what testing was run, what size is the nodule and do you have symptoms?
Make sure you get copies of everything.
You are um, lucky in a way... I had Cushing's and my adrenal scans all came out normal but when my adrenals came out, it turned out they were large. After surgery, my scans showed my adrenals were normal too. LOL.
My mom has what the Dr.'s say is a benign tumor on her adrenal, it has been there and unchanged for about 5 years...I don't know how common it would be...we did take her to an Endocrinologist to be checked...just to be sure...we were told sometimes it can cause Cushings disease...do you have any other symptoms??
