Bilateral adrenal calcifications

8yr old female with recurrent strep throat (2 + yrs)... tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy...strep continues...CT found bilateral adrenal calcifications. Having ACTH Cortisol stimulation test, What are the side effects of this test?

My son had no probs with the stim test other than feeling yuck at all the blood they took! He was 14 and not great with hospitals or needles etc!

The stim test - may get a red face... but other than that, I never got another side effect. Maybe others can also chime in.

BTW, I had both adrenals removed.
