Can very low Cholesterol affect cortisol levels?

Is there a relationship between very low Cholesterol and low (12.3 @ 8am) cortisol? (48 year old male with hasi)

YES!  There is a connection,  Your body needs cholesterol as a building block for sex and adrenal hormones - and cholesterol is certainly vital for the proper functioning of the liver and nervous systems.

It is from the cortisol side, I believe, not the cholesterol side. Usually when one has high cortisol, the lipids are not controlled very well and cholesterol goes up (as well there are usually glucose issues) - so perhaps the reverse is true.
I know my good cholesterol is always now too low and I cannot get it up.
