Cortisol Levels

Hi,
My daughter is currently in the hosp.  Yesterday, her Cortisol level was 2.1 so the doctor ordered the cortisol stimulation blood test.
At 8am her baseline was 25.2.  30 minutes later it was 34.1, At 60 minutes it was 38.  The doctor won't be around until tomorrow and I was just curious if anyone knew if this means her Cortisol levels are normal.

Thanks so much!
Lori

Cortisol levels are highest in the morning and slowly drop until evening. At what time of the day was your daughter's level 2.1?

Hi,

It was from early in the day.

From the chart I have, from when they tested my levels, 2.1 would be high. I don't know what those baseline figures mean.

according to those levels you show from her stim test, she looks to be on the high side.  seems like some more testing would be in order.
