High potassium diet for two days, now feeling better

After much reading, I thought I would just try it out and see. I started eating the potassium rich food, because hey, what do I have to lose, on Saturday. Here it is, Monday morning and I really have to say that I feel much better, muscle wise. My right arm which was nearly unable to function do to pain, has regained it's strength to, I'd say, 85%. My feet aren't throbbing with pain either. The sudden constipation and bloating seems to be uncalled for, but I'll take it over the pain.

Understand, that I was in pretty morbid pain. I work in a foundry as a maintenance person. I am physically pushing my body everyday. The shear pain involved for this last month, to say the least, has been a test of pure will power. I honestly didn't know how much longer I could sustain my job under these circumstances. I will know today,  for certain how well my little test has worked.

My only fear and wonder is, exactly how low were my potassium levels, that so many things were going wrong with me. Will sustaining a high potassium diet throw off my test, once I have started them?

thanks for reading
John

What test, other than K, would you think it would throw off? I would tell the doctor that you changed your diet and how to feel better.

Potassium and sodium are highly linked - renin and aldosterone control the levels and those are adrenal hormones. Perhaps due to the adrenal lesion you have, you may need the extra K.

Are you craving salt at all? Do you feel worse when you sweat? How is your blood pressure?
