PLEASE HELP!

Hello All,
My friend Stella5349 suggested I post over on this board, so here I am. I need help! I was diagnosed as hypo back in June, went from levothyroxine to Armour and still having issues. I recently had blood tests and a MRI, which shows a 3 MM pituitary microadenoma. Blood tests show I am low in human growth hormone, insulin growth factor, testosterone and DHEA. My Dr. thinks this is "nothing to worry about" but its quite obvious to me "this nothing to worry about" tumor is reaking havic in my body and causing the hormonal imbalance. My hair continues to thin and I have patches where you can see my scalp. I feel & look HORRIBLE and I'm just not myself, I look in the mirror and wonder who that person is looking back at me.... I dont know what to do. Please, if anyone can help me or has the time, go to my photos and check out my recent labs and MRI report. I also posted a medical history under a journal entry, with my medications and symtpoms. My Mom actually had a pit tumor 10 years ago that caused acromegaly and had out and is now fine. Yes, right now I am low on human growth hormone, but who says this thing wont grow?

From all the reading and research I have been doing, I think I have Cushings. Please - anyone.....HELP!!!

Thank you so much in advance....this site and all the wonderful, helpful people have been a LIFESAVER!!!

I responded to you over on the pit board... I agree about the Cushing's. It may cycle and be hard to test for.
Find a doctor who is an expert - do not even waste any more time with a doc who says that your tests are nothing to worry about - they are. Been there, done that.

Hi MAry

Glad to see you posted this here. This board is smaller than thyroid - so it may take a while to pull someone on.

On the other note though - I read all morning about high testosterone in women and adrenal disroders. One thing that popped up was Cushings.

Again the DHT production and hair loss was also visable again along with saw palmetto  and Diinolmethane assisting in reducing those levels and balancing out the testosterone and estrogens. It sounds as though getting the liver to filter better is the way to release the cycling testosterone to block the DHT to start restoring the hair. One thing that bothered me was the link between high testosterone and Ovarian Cancer. Fixing the levels of testosterone in women seems to be the most complicated to understand out of the three female hormones.

So the connection I read on testosterone was adrenal function depletes - the liver becomes toxic and the pitutiary may be signaling innappropriately because of an undiagnoised abnormality which cycles back to the adrenals and the production of cortisol.

Stored testosterone seems horrible for the female body.

Out of curiosity. Is hair growing more rapidly elsewhere for you too?
