What are the hormones that affect DHEAS? I've been doing some research online so I can go to my next endocrinology appointment prepared, and all the hormones that I've read about that could affect DHEAS have been at normal levels in my previous blood tests.
Increased levels of DHEAS are not diagnostic of a specific condition; they usually indicate the need for further testing to pinpoint the cause of the hormone imbalance.
Thanks for responding. My LH, FSH, testosterone, estrogen are normal. My cortisol is normal as well. What else could affect the level of DHEA-S?
What are "all other tests?"
Dhea is an androgen - so it would be abnormal along with LH, FSH, testosterones, and estrogen. It can become abnormal, as like other hormones, when impacted say, by cortisol, when one has Cushing's.
