Strange causes of adrenal problems

I am not sure what kind of adrenal deficiency I have. I got diagnosis recently after long time treatment of candida infection which cause many hormonal imbalances. It was saliva test and low cortisol with low progesterone with estrogen dominance.
I have tried adrenal support cream with GABA and vitamins Bcause more problems.
It s not first time when i had such symptoms after intake of supplement which increase circulation in brain.
Or after acupancture and massage. It seems it increase activity of putirutary gland and that cause headaches,
chest pain, indigestion, stomach pain, acid reflux, extreme fatigue. I have reflux for 5 years not and severe imflamation in esophagus.
I wonder if somebody had the same symptoms? What is the reason for that? How you recommend to help adrenals?
By the way there is Istitute for tis gland desorders in Bthesda MDbut I think they don`t have docs. They have list of docs only but in my area it is only sureon available.
Thanks

Thank you for responses. Yes, my  test didn’t show acid reflux but I definitely have bile reflux, Every time I eat bile stimulating food or take supplement I have bad reflux. Another reason - allergy to food and estrogenic food or supplement as i have estrogen dominance. I can’t take HCL but alternative doc said that my treatment with v. C and B5 will help for adrenals and digestion at the same time. I feel much better now as if I was born again. But reflux still bother me sometimes.

I had terrible acid reflux during pregnancies and a few times in later years. Raising the head of the bed did help some, not taking any capsules or eating anything after an early supper also helped. You won't believe what was causing it in the first place--LOW stomach acid! After many years of suffering, I learned to take some Hcl with (Not after) meals including proteins. I would chew up some digestive enzymes after a meal if I still had some discomfort. The B-vitamins make the Hcl and they require Hcl to digest those foods. One of my sons had to take B12, B6 and liver shots for months inaddition to oral supplements including Hcl until his body made enough acid to stop having problems. You really should have a holistic MD, ND, Do or DC familiar with this to help you. It should stop bloating, etc. as well as the acid reflux.

I had high cortisol, and had many candida infections as well as reflux and many other symptoms.

Both high and low cortisol can interfere with your immune system and other hormones.

I am not quite sure what you mean by acupuncture and massage increasing your pituitary activity- the pituitary has so many functions... I go to acupuncture regularly and specifically to help with headaches. I had two pituitary tumors and my adrenals removed to help resolve one of them. It sounds like you may have some issues, but you need to see an endo to get testing - a good endo...

This may sound ridiculous, you sound very ill. It's just a teeny tiny idea. I suffered with acid reflux throughout my pregnancy and my daughter was born with it. she had it untill she was 13 months. She was hospitalised and stopped breathing from it, We spent a week on a ward trying to get it sorted. I dont know what Meds you take for it? She had omeprazol, domperidone and thickner in her food and milk.I imagine you've been through the mill with all that stuff.
Something that soothed us both symptons wise better than the meds, was a Nurse who told us to prop our beds-cots a good 4-5 inches up, on the head end, end where your head is when you sleep. I put two encyclopedias under my bed either side so 4 altogether, and my baby had one under her cot. The acid spitting up during the night wasn't neally as bad.

Also I found no spicy, fried food, fruit juice, anything even very mildly acidic would set it off.

I ate a lot of brown rice and  vegtables yogurt, boiled chicken.cows milk didn't seem to help but plain organic yogurt about 3 times a day helped a bit. And having a small plain meal just before bed, God I hated having it We both did. I will have a word with the man upstairs for you- sorry if  my idea seems silly. just wracking my brains for what helped when i had that, it was just awful. you must have a strong character! all the best to you.

Yes, I have checked D and it was low last year. I was taking it 5000 units for 6 weeks and now only 1000. I didn`t retest it but probably it is enough.
As for thiroids it seems it is notmal on bllod test. When I tried thirods grandular supplement I felt worse and got more reflux esophagitis.
i was toold I don`t have candida anymore but I still have symptoms. But I can`t tolerate any antifulgals now. andex was great for me but again it is painful now to take it.
Is there is someting that is not acidic to deal with it?

Hi Lyala

I've had a candida infection since I was 13 years old and I still get flare ups now and I am 36!  I also get cystitis and hypoglycaemia.   I went to the doctors all through my 20's and they diagnosed me with low oestrogen and cysts on my ovaries.   I still didn't feel well after being treated for that (hypoglycaemia & lethargy) and battled with doctors ever since.  I have now been diagnosed with under-active thyroid and ulcerative collitis.   I think there must be more going on with you than just your adrenals - have you have your thyroid checked out and maybe Vit D levels?   My body went haywire like yours is doing and at one point I couldn't even walk - I couldn't take stress either and the slightest bit made me feel very ill.

Best wishes

Jo
