Thyroid and Adrenas
Hi,

I'm first to post!

Would anyone know if very high requirement for thyroid meds (treatment for hypothyroid) in order to maintain normal range FT3 and FT4 be a result of adrenal issues?  Would there be any other symptoms?

Thanks

Look at all your thyroid med labels....it warns against treating patient with thyroid meds, with an underlying adrenal problem. If you have underlying adrenal problems, thyroid meds will weaken your adrenals further. Symtoms vary but will include: fatigue, dizziness, anxiety, etc. Very similar to thyroid. You need to supplement with high amounts of B complex to support the adrenals along with Vit c. If it is real bad then there are adrenal support formulas, etc.

I have Hashimoto's and adrenal distress.  My naturopathic Dr has me on t3 and t4 chemical thyroid,  as well as adrenal glandulars.  This seems to be working well.
